I’ve been an on-again-off-again amateur photographer since I was in my teens, shooting with a Canon EOS 1000 and learning to develop spill fixer everywhere in a darkroom. These days I have a 50D and a Lightroom instead, recently joined by a Panasonic GF1 and a ever-growing mixture of official and alternative lenses for Micro 4/3.
These pages are an attempt to document my experiences with various bits of gear and software. I can’t claim to be any kind of specialist, but spending 4 years lugging a particular camera bag around the world on holiday, I certainly can spare a few thoughts on how well it handles (or whine about how the strap broke after only 2 weeks).
When it comes to actual pictures, I have a gallery of my favourite images over the years hosted here.
